So, it has nothing to do with functionality, privacy or anything else? It just seems like you’ve traded fear of change by Google to fear of change by Apple.

Why is that better?

I ask, mostly, because I kinda hate Google and want to move away, but Gmail/workspace is, IMHO, empirically better than Apple Mail, but also IMHO Apple exploits me less than Google.
